With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sylvia Owens, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Sylvia's warmth and kindness touched many lives, and she will be profoundly missed.

She leaves behind her cherished children, Kenneth (Billie Jo) Hillman, Tonya (Roger) Ross, and Shinay Owens, who carry forward her love and wisdom. As a grandmother, her heart overflowed with joy for Jeffery Lowery, Maurice Thomas, Aaliyah, Rihanna, Urijah, Najee, Kadeem, and Amari Hillman, Devonte Owens, Isabella Smith, Darryl Owens, and a host of great-grandchildren who brought her immeasurable happiness.

Sylvia was not just a devoted mother and grandmother; she was a loving sister to Maurice W. Owens Jr., Sydney (Tracey) Owens, Arthur Owens, Kevin Owens, Denise Owens, Deborah (Michael) Davis, and Karen (Daniel) Owens-Webb. Her deep bonds with her siblings and her countless nieces and nephews were a testament to the strength of her family ties.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday September 30th from 11 AM to 1 PM at NEW COMER CREMATIONS & FUNERALS, located at 5090 Transit Rd., Depew, NY. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1 PM, honoring the remarkable spirit of Sylvia. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery, where her memory will remain forever in our hearts.

As we gather to remember Sylvia, let us celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She has left an indelible mark on all who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire us.
