She was born in Norwich, Connecticut on April 5, 1942 to the late Raymond and Ruby (Miller) Merriman, and was the loving wife of the late Wayne Piascik.
Jessie was a hard-worker and was very passionate about helping others. She would give the shirt off her back for anybody in need and was well-liked because of her kind personality. In her early years Jessie worked in the local woolen mills and later worked many years as a CNA. She loved sewing, shopping, spent countless years collecting antiques, and enjoyed making memories with her grandchildren,
She is survived by her children, Michael R. Piascik (Ivy), Kathleen A. Schnitzler (William), Debra A. Dziengiel (John), Cindy A. Spring (Travis), and predeceased by her son Peter A. Piascik (Stefanie). She has 12 Grandchildren; and many great grandchildren; Jessie is also survived by two sisters, Suzanne Damien (Alfred) and Ellen Waggoner (Michael). She was also predeceased by brother Lawrence Merriman (Pia).
A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery on February 22, at 10 am. Reception to follow at 12 Monroe Street, Norwich CT 06360
