Mr. Jessie James Reynolds, 29, of Mount Airy, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Born in Forsyth County on November 5, 1995, Jessie was the beloved son of James Reynolds and Kathy Slate Hunt. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves, was employed at US Erectors Metal Structures, and had a deep love for horses. He is survived by his loving wife, Alexis Hazelwood Reynolds; his cherished children, Serenity Faith Reynolds, Scarlet Marie Reynolds, and Raylan James Reynolds; his mother, Kathy Slate Hunt (Donnie); his father, James Reynolds (Debbie); and his sister, Samantha Slate Turner (Jesse). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Treva Wilson (Calvin); his father-in-law, Tony Hazelwood (Tammy); a special aunt and uncle, Hallie and the Rev. Timmy Crotts; two special first cousins, whom he considered sisters, Kendra Crotts Karpenko and Kristin Crotts Bullin; along with numerous extended family members who will miss him dearly. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Bear Trail Baptist Church, with the Rev. Timmy Crotts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, prior to the service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
