Jesula Alexandre, 74, of Bayonne, NJ, passed away on August 3, 2025 at home.
Born on October 6, 1950 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Accelus Alexandre and Rose Emilia Labes.
From an early age she displayed the same strong will and determination that remained a
constant throughout her life.
Jesula moved to the United States in 1971 and settled in New York where she had her two
daughters Regine Jean-Laurent (predeceased) and Myriam Jean-Laurent. The family eventually
settled in New Jersey. She was a devoted mother who worked tirelessly to educate her children
in private schools and provide a loving home.
Jesula is survived by her daughter Myriam; her brother Andre Alexandre and his wife Liolette
Alexandre; her brother Jean Hubert Alexandre and wife Naomi Alexandre and family; sister
Immacula Alexandre and family; cousin Yolande Macenat; niece-in-law Marjorie Dubreus-
Alexandre and children Jaelyn, Jocelyn, Joy and Joshua; great nephew Cristian Alexandre; and her cat Pepper.
A wake will be held at Greenville Memorial Home on August 16, 2025 at 9am followed by a
funeral service on the same date at Our Lady of Victories Church.
Those who knew Jesula will remember her unwavering faith in God and her love of family,
friends and home. She had impeccable taste and a beautiful, ladylike style. She was a wonderful
cook and had a wickedly funny sense of humor. She was smart, capable and kind. She had the
reputation of being the favorite among babies and pets. Whenever you hear a Temptations
song, come across The Jacksons biopic on TV or smell White Diamonds perfume, think of her
fondly.
