Jesus Madrid Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Acres West Funeral Chapel and Crematory - West Odessa on Nov. 19, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Jesus Carlos Madrid, affectionately known to friends and family as Carlos or "Magic," was a man whose very essence was a beacon of inspiration, hope, and joy. Born on July 14, 1980, in the warm heart of Pecos, Texas, Carlos embarked on his life's journey that would be filled with love, adventure, and a touch of magic at every turn. His life's sunset came gently on November 10, 2025, in Odessa, where he was surrounded by the love and warmth of his family.
Carlos was the beloved life partner of Valerie Dominguez, who was the cornerstone of his world. Together, they created a legacy of love and strength that will forever resonate in the lives of their children: Elias R. Madrid, Adrian A. Madrid, Jesus Carlos Jr., Roque J. Madrid, Alvaro E. Madrid, and his stepson, Erin Mendoza. Each of these young men carries a part of Carlos's indomitable spirit, his unwavering courage, and his boundless love.
Throughout his life, Carlos was a man of many talents and skills. He worked across various fields, from the oil industry to mechanics and painting, embodying the true spirit of a renaissance man. His versatility in the workforce was matched only by his dedication and work ethic, which he instilled in his boys. He was a living example that the breadth of one's abilities is only limited by the confines of one's imagination.
Carlos's interests were as multifaceted as his skills. He found solace in the simplicity of fishing and joy in the companionship of taking long walks with his boys. There was nothing he loved more than helping them with their trucks or taking care of Alvaro's roosters. These moments, filled with laughter and learning, were the threads that wove the fabric of their tight-knit family.
His life philosophy was encapsulated in the powerful words of American poet Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Carlos lived by this creed, charting his own course with courage and determination, and leaving an indelible trail of love, passion, and tenacity.
Carlos's story is not one of finality but one of eternal continuity. He has left us with more than just memories; he has imparted a legacy of living life to the fullest, of facing each new day with enthusiasm, and of the importance of family. Through his example, we are reminded to embrace each day with the same zest and magic that Carlos did. His life was a testament to the beauty of the human spirit, and his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Today, we celebrate Carlos-a man whose life was a vibrant tapestry of love, hard work, and unforgettable moments. As we honor his memory, let us carry forward the torch of his spirit, forever lighting the way for generations to come. Jesus Carlos Madrid, our beloved Magic, your story lives on, and your magic will never fade.
Viewing will begin Thursday, November 20, at 1 pm in our 24 HR chapel. And continue through Friday. Rosary will be cited Thursday at 7 PM.
