With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jesus Barbosa Sauceda, who left this world peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on August 15, 1929, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Jesus was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, friend, and neighbor.

Throughout his life, Jesus exemplified dedication and generosity, earning him the admiration of those who knew him. He was a hardworking provider, working as a rancher for thirty years in Lockney, Texas. Known for his unwavering commitment to his family, his passions for music, carpentry, and gardening brought joy and beauty to his life and the lives of others. Whether tending to his cherished plants or crafting pieces of art from wood, Jesus approached every task with love and care, inspiring those around him.He is survived by his devoted spouse, Graciela Ceja Sauceda, whose partnership was a cornerstone of his life. Together, they cultivated a family filled with love and laughter, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to thrive through their children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years Graciela Ceja Sauceda; daughters Jesusa Sauceda, Maria Sauceda- Nieto (Oscar), Graciela Sauceda Ornelas (Jerry); grandchildren Lalara Sauceda, Leah Sauceda- Jeppe (Nick), Yeniel Nieto, and Yolciela Nieto; numerous nieces and nephews. Jesus is preceded in death by his son, Jose Antonio Sauceda.Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until funeral service starting at 12:00 P.M. at Primrose Funeral Services of Lytle, Texas with interment to follow in Lytle Community Cemetery.As we reflect on the life of Jesus Barbosa Sauceda, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness, resilience, dedication, and generosity. Le sobreviven su amada esposa de sesenta y tres años, Graciela Ceja Sauceda; sus hijas Jesusa Sauceda, María Sauceda-Nieto (Oscar), Graciela Sauceda Ornelas (Jerry); sus nietos Lalara Sauceda, Leah Sauceda-Jeppe (Nick), Yeniel Nieto y Yolciela Nieto; numerosas sobrinas y sobrinos. Jesús es precedido en la muerte por su hijo, José Antonio Sauceda. El velorio se llevará a cabo el lunes 3 de noviembre de 2025, desde las 10:00 a.m. hasta el servicio fúnebre a partir de las 12:00 p.m. en Primrose Funeral Services de Lytle, Texas, y el entierro seguirá en el cementerio comunitario de Lytle.
