Jevohn "Johnny" "Gio" W. Fortier, 32, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in his home, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.
Born in Fitchburg on June 25, 1993, he was the beloved son of Richard F. and Dolores G. (O'Beirne) Fortier of Dudley.
Jevohn was a true sports enthusiast who excelled in every sport he tried with hockey becoming his biggest passion. Johnny once prayed at dinner, "Thanks Jesus...my puck, my ball, my stick...amen!" He also enjoyed spending time playing video games and listening to music. Though his life was far too short, Jevohn's greatest pride and joy was his family. He treasured every moment spent with them, sharing countless memories and endless laughter throughout the years. His love for people extended outside the family as he never met a person he didn't care deeply for, extending a hand to many others he met during his travels through Gardner, Oxford, and Southbridge.
Besides his parents, Jevohn is survived by his spouse, Anita M. (Smith) Fortier; his son, Johnny Caisse of Gardner; his siblings, Eric Fortier and his spouse Ashley, Keith Fortier and his spouse Tayna, Casey Oliver and her spouse Clarence, Deveny Fortier, Kory Fortier, (Carrianne) Kinder "KJ" Fortier and Manny Fortier; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins. Jevohn is also survived by six additional biological siblings who he loved dearly and maintained his relationship with.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Symphony Fortier, and his biological mother, Corrine Wilmot.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Worcester Railers organization and the Baystate Brewery Restaurant for helping Jevohn to have one last skate on the ice and celebrate his life with friends and family. A big thank you also to Brookhaven Hospice, and his best friend, Christopher Harshaw of Oxford for the loving and compassionate care they provided.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
