Jill K. Bailey, 79, of Saybrook Township, passed away on August 25, 2025, at the Geneva Center for Rehabilitation.
Born June 1, 1946, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of Merle and Violet (Anderson) Davis. A 1964 graduate of Ashtabula High School, Jill quickly became an invested entrepreneur. Together with her husband Tom, she opened Bailey's SOHIO Service Station in Saybrook. She went on to become the Owner and Broker of Lake Erie Real Estate for many years, and also owned Nelson Land Co. with her son, Todd.
Jill cherished her visits to Ft. Myers Beach, Florida, where she spent time with her dear friends Jim and Rosemary Richards, and enjoyed many winters at her condo in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
She is survived by her grandson Greg (Samantha) Bailey of Ashtabula; great-granddaughters Rylee and Skylar Bailey; daughter-in-law Dedra Bailey; sister Judy Sullivan; and nieces Sherri Sullivan, Lori Sullivan, Alicia Kurth,Stacey Sadler and Stepson William (Sandra) Stroup, Step Daughter Julie Stroup-Wurst
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Thomas Bailey, Ray Stroup, and Frank Abrams; her beloved son Todd Bailey; brother John Davis; brother-in-law Jerry Sullivan; mother-in-law Clara Abrams; and aunt Virginia Thomas.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 West 19th Street, Ashtabula, with visitation from noon until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ashtabula Senior Center, 4148 Main Avenue, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
