Daisey Mae Bailey, beloved daughter of the late Elijah Baker and Mazzie Finney Baker, was born on May 22, 1940 in Modest Town, Virginia. She entered into her heavenly rest on Wednesday morning, December 25, 2024 at her residence in Parksley, Virginia.
Daisey was educated at the Metompkin Seaside Hall School. She was employed at Arcadia Nursing Home as a CNA for fifteen years until her health failed.
Her kindness and generosity touched so many lives and her home was always open to anyone in need of food and shelter. She had a great love for family and does that she came in contact with, no one was ever a stranger to her. Daisey loved to play games, read her newspaper, play Bingo, and watch her late night shows.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Wright; sisters, Frances West, Rosie Bailey, and Virginia Meyer; brother, Orris Jack Baker; and granddaughter, Marquita Bailey.
Left to cherish her loving memories are her son, Thomas (Jean) Brown of Parksley, VA; one brother, Ross (Martha) Bailey of Parksley, VA; one sister, Rachel Baker of Accomac, VA; one grandson, Willie Bailey of Parksley, VA; one great-granddaughter, Rya Brown of Bloxom, VA; two great-grandsons, Brandon Brown and Devonta Chandler; one great, great-granddaughter, Remidy Brown; her caregiver, Ebony Baines; special cousin, Tikeyisha Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
