IOTA - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jill W. Fuller announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at her home at the age of 87. A celebration of Jill’s life will be held at a later time, where friends and family can gather to honor the remarkable woman she was.
Born on January 16, 1938, in High Wycombe, England, Jill was the treasured daughter of the late Reginald and Winifred Cuthbert Hester. She had a vibrant spirit and a great sense of humor that lit up any room. Jill had a profound love for life, embracing adventures that took her traveling, indulging in the thrill of the casino, and delighting in the colors of life through her stylish bright shoes and shirts, and meticulously painted nails. However, it was the moments shared with her family, especially her grandchildren, that brought her great joy. She also adored her sons-in-law, Eddie and Joe. Visits spent with her best friend, Shirley Vallette, in Mississippi were also a highlight in her life.
Jill leaves behind a legacy of love that will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Kimberley Salas and her husband, Jose, of Los Lunas, NM, and Mary Dietz and her husband, Thomas Dietz Jr., of Iota. She is also remembered fondly by her brothers, John Hester and his wife, Mary, and Kenneth Hester and his wife, Margaret, all residing in England; as well as her four sisters, Mary Clarke, with her companion in Ireland, and Wendy Rowden, Sue Hester, and Anne Hickey, all in England.
Jill’s legacy continues through her devoted granddaughters, Crystal Rue and her husband, Raymond, Elizabeth Davis, and Mary Gracen Fuller. Additionally, she delighted in the laughter and love of her great-grandchildren, Destiny Garzes, Desiree Ashley, Klairissa Davis, Brianna Graavgard, Kaden Floyd, Kylan Gaspard, and Kenzi Scarborough, along with her great-great-grandchildren, Evannie, Cora, Enzo, and Nyla.
Jill now peacefully joins her loved ones who have gone before her, including her parents; three sons, Kenneth, Mark, and Michael Fuller; brothers, Tony and Patrick Hester; sisters, Valerie Grindle, Margaret Grindle, and June Payne; granddaughter, Melissa Scarborough; great grandsons, Joshua Paul and Chance Garzas; and her previous husband and father of her children, Terry F. Fuller.
