IOTA-With heavy hearts, the family of Warren “Paul” Leckelt announces his passing on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Lafayette General Medical Center at the age of 67. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iota, with burial to follow in the Iota Cemetery, led by Pastor Kevin Colson.
Warren, known as Paul to all, was born on August 31, 1958, to the late Willie and Merdress Gauthreaux Leckelt. Paul was a simple man who enjoyed fishing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, including his four sons, Shane Leckelt and wife, Donie, Paul Leckelt, Jr. and wife, Allie, Chad Leckelt, and Justin Leckelt and wife, Dominique—all of Iota; his grandchildren, Alexis Veillon, Lea Leckelt, Keely Leckelt, Nathan Leleux, Jordan Broussard, Seth Broussard, Vaeh Leckelt, Chad Leckelt, Jr., Angelique Leckelt, and Adalynne Leckelt; along with his great-grandchildren, Andee Veillon, Collin Veillon, Archie Veillon, Tyler Connor, and Easton Leckelt; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Suzanne “Sue” Leckelt; his parents; brother, Kenneth Leckelt; and grandson, Justin Leckelt, Jr.
At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 9:00 am until the time of services.
