Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie LaCombe Leckelt, 85, of Jennings will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at The Hope Church in Evangeline with Brother Thomas Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff Cemetery in Evangeline under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation for Mrs. Leckelt will begin on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel and will conclude at 12:30 p.m. with the procession to church.
Mrs. Leckelt was born on June 2, 1938, in Evangeline to Velliro "Buck" LaCombe and Elodie Cormier LaCombe. She worked in the retail industry. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Leckelt was a talented seamstress, but she especially enjoyed going to church and singing.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 67 years, Melvin Leckelt; two sons, Merle Leckelt, and Bryan (Shaunda) Leckelt; granddaughter, Shelly Leckelt; great grandson, Brennan Leckelt; and one brother, Robert "Bob" LaCombe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren, Brady Leckelt and Ethan Leckelt, numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews.
