Jill Meyer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Service & Crematory on Aug. 24, 2024.
Jill Meyer, 86, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, after a months-long battle with cancer.
She was born on October 18, 1937 in St. Cloud, Florida to Ford and Vera Dull.
Jill graduated from St. Cloud High School in 1956. She moved from St. Cloud to Melbourne, Florida later that year after meeting and marrying her high school sweetheart, Bobby Meyer. Bobby and Jill were married for 62 years, until Bobby's passing in 2018.
She worked at Kinco Windows and Doors, L3Harris and several banks in the Melbourne area over a 40 year period while also balancing the demands of raising her four children along with her husband, Bobby. She embarked on a long and well-deserved retirement in 1997.
Jill loved family gatherings, cooking southern-fried delicacies for her loved ones, listening and dancing to bluegrass music and playing Mahjong.
She is survived by her daughter Stefany (Dino) and her son Sleighton (Cheri); sister Judy (Tony); grandchildren Maria (Matt), Gina (Sam), Sloan (Meagan), Jane (Jay), Jake, Charlie, Shane, Jackson, Grace; and great-grandchildren Madison, Jensen, Jaxson, Harrison, Collins, Emma, Brandon, Sadie and Jesse. She also leaves behind her loyal dog, Holly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Jack; her husband Bobby and her two sons Steve and Sloan.
Her viewing will be held at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with the funeral service immediately following at 11 am. Jill will be laid to rest in the family plot at the City of Melbourne Cemetery alongside her husband and two sons.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the William Childs Hospice House: William Childs Hospice House
