Jill Diane Smith

Jill Diane Smith, 60, of New Matamoras, OH, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sistersville, WV, on December 1, 1965, the daughter of the late Clarence Murphy and Kay Holdren-Murphy of Sardis Ohio. Jill devoted her life to her family and home, and she took great pride in being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Jill is survived by her husband, Stephen Smith; her children, Kayla Dunn (Terry), Breanne Dunn (Wilbur III), and Logan Smith; and her grandchildren, TJ Dunn (Grace), Coden Dunn (Kalyn), Kaylee Dunn, Brooklyn Dunn, Lexie Dunn, Aubree Dunn, Laney Dunn, and Paisley Dunn. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Terry Dunn III and Gralyn Dunn, sister Nancy Gail Shapley (Bob) along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Ashland Smith, her brother, Randall Murphy, and her sister, Terry McIver.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Ingram Funeral Home in St. Mary's, WV, with Pastor David Beaver officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Burial will follow at New Matamoras Cemetery. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
