Alex Doak Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ingram Funeral Home - St. Marys on Mar. 11, 2026.
Alex Scott Doak

Alex Scott Doak, 31 of Paden City, WV was tragically taken from us on March 8, 2026. He was on his way to purchase a new pair of work boots for his upcoming work week when he was involved in a fatal car accident, through no fault of his own.

Alex was born December 12, 1994, to the proud parents of Brian and Pamela Doak, of St. Mary's, WV. In 2000, Alex became the big brother to Jesse, whom he simply adored.

Alex graduated from Tyler Consolidated High School in 2013. Because of his incredible talent and speed, he won 1st place in several running events at the State Track Meet in Charleston, WV. He loved the game of football and even after he had graduated, he proudly represented the Tyler Knights in the OVAC and BACF All Star Games.

After high school, Alex graduated from the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in Troy, Ohio. This led to numerous job opportunities beginning with his job as a Union Boilermaker in Local 667. He was currently employed as a Union Welder for the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 83 of Wheeling, WV. He was proud of his skill and loved what he did. He had a love for his co-workers, from multiple states, whom he considered close friends.

Alex's faith in God allowed him to enjoy life to the fullest. He loved to be surrounded by his friends and family. He never met a stranger and made friends anywhere he went. His smile and contagious laugh would light up any room. He had a magnetic energy that touched everyone. He enjoyed playing video games with his brother, stepson, and close friends. He had a love for the outdoors from riding his dirt bike or buggy, golfing, snowboarding, and YES, even cooking. He loved his three dogs Prince, Buddy, and Hooch.

Alex took on the role as a father figure in May 2020 to his stepson Beau. Without hesitation, he stepped up and loved him as his own. They brought so much joy to each other's lives and had a bond like no other.

Alex is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Patricia and Don Blake, and Mary Doak; maternal grandparents, Robert and Ella Bosley.

In addition to his parents, Alex is survived by his brother, Jesse; Grandfather, Robert Doak (Joyce); Uncle Jeff (Debbie) Bosley; Aunt Gigi (Bill) Barker; Uncle Cris (Tonya) Doak; the love of his life, Heather Quinn and her son, Beau, whom he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his lifelong friend (brother), Christian Ice, who was there for him always.

To all his friends, from childhood to adulthood and everything in between, please know your friendship meant everything to him.

Memorial Service 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Ingram Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, and from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Ritchie, and Pleasants County Human Societies. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com
