Mr. Jim Carroll, 84, of Durant, MS, passed away on July 18, 2025, at the Holmes County Nursing Home in Durant, MS. Visitation is 5:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Jordan Funeral Home. Visitation is 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the First United Pentecostal Church of Kosciusko, MS. Funeral Services are 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the First United Pentecostal Church of Kosciusko, MS, with burial in Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Shannon Pennington will serve as the officiant for the services.
Mr. Carroll was born in Matthews, MO, and served in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith and attended the Pentecostal Church in Durant. He was a retired truck driver. He was a farmer and also worked as a house cleaner, including at Jordan Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Sherry Lynn Roberson and Lacey Perry; sons, David Myers and Terry Myers; his parents, Andrew Carroll and Hattie Carroll; brothers, Jay Carroll and J.D. Carroll; and sisters, Wanda Jones and Velma Duke.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Carroll of Durant, MS; daughters, Tina (John) Farmer of Kosciusko, MS, Marilyn (Randy) Kyte of Corrigan, TX, and Cheyenne (Terry) Criswell of Daves, TN; son, James (Rhonda Kay) Carroll of Durant, MS; sister Lucy (AL) Al-Awaj; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
