Jim Arnold Case, Age 64, of Richfield, passed away November 30, 2022 on Fish Lake Mountain, Utah, doing what he loved to do. He was born January 27, 1958, in Richfield, Utah, a son of Allen J. Case and Evlyn Lee. He spent several years in Richfield, until his family moved to West Valley, Utah. He graduated from Kearns High School. Jim married Pat Hall and had three lovely daughters. Jim & Pat divorced. Jim found his sweetheart, Rebecca Case and in 1995 moved back to Richfield, Utah where they were married.
Jim attended college for 24 years and never earned a degree (which Jim would tell everyone he has been going to college for many, many years and still did not have a degree to show for it). Jim loved his family. He was devoted and dedicated to taking care of them. Jim also loved to hunt and fish; he bought a small aluminum boat and went fishing for kokanee, and ALWAYS looked forward to hunting, putting in for hunting tags (so that he could plan and eagerly prepare for hunting that special big buck or bull) and he was successful at finding trophy big game. He loved his garden & shared his vegetables, too.
Jim loved his family. He looked forward to seeing his kids and grandkids, as this always filled his heart with joy. Jim enjoyed spending time with his nephews and treated them as though they were his own boys. He also took in neighbors, co-workers, & friends as though they were his own family, too. He was a strong man with a huge heart and he spread love while taking every opportunity he could to teach, tease and share a story. Jim would tease, and this he did as a wonderful way of opening up his heart to others; teasing was his way of letting you know that he liked you. Jim was full of life and enjoyed living life in the outdoors.
Jim was strong & he was very sharp so his employment varied. He worked at Sanders, Clark Tank Lines, Canyon Racket Club, and then he went to work with the State of Utah at Human Services and the Utah Air National Guard. After Jim moved to Richfield, he went to work at the S.V.A.T.C., which later became Snow College where he spent a total of 24 years, eventually retiring at the end of January 2021.
He is survived by his father, Allen J. Case Richfield; a son, Richard Clark (Lindsey Lamprecht) Richfield; his daughters Christa Alkema (Ryan Alkema) Green River, Wyoming, Heather Case (Bob Benjamin) Tooele, Lisa Case Hagman West Valley, Carrie Miller (Rustee Miller) Tooele, and Danielle Case Salt Lake City, and Jenny Annabella; His brothers, Robert Case (Sherry Hafner) West Jordan, Russ Case Wallsburg, Brian Case (Shannon Case) Eagle Mountain, and his Sister Sue Pehrson (Kyle Pehrson) West Valley. Jim is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Evlyn Lee Case, his brother, Mike Case, a son-in-law Jeremy Hagman, and two grandchildren, Haylee Goulding & Rivers Clark.
