James "Jim" Charlie Findley, age 78 of Mt. Pisgah Road, Talking Rock Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 26th, 2025 at Northside Cherokee Hospital.

He served in the 9th Infantry Division 2-4 Artillery of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church where he served as clerk for over 25 years. A member of the Blaine Lodge, Coosawattee Shrine Club as a past president, & Appalachian Cattlemen's Association also serving as a board member. He retired as a diesel mechanic at Imerys, formally known as Georgia Marble. Retired poultry farmer, but still actively farming and producing cattle.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Herbert Dewell & Nona Belle Sanford Findley, mother & father in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Tom Keener, brother-in-laws Rois Ledford & Ricky Roper.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Brenda "Sue" Keener Findley, of the home. His only daughter, Mechelle Belle Findley & Kirk Champion, Papaw's Girl & "Grandson" Hannah & Eric Wyman, & his precious greats- Eli James Woody, Jadelyn "Jay-Bird" Woody, Lawler Findley, Koda Wyman, Wesley Wyman, & Ty Wyman. Twin sister, Martha "Sister Sue" Ledford of Talking Rock, Brothers & sister-in-laws, Bill (Carolyn) Findley, Bobby Findley, & Ed (Virginia) Findley, all of Talking Rock. Sister & Brother-in-law, Mary (Ray) Hughes, Dial. Sister-in-laws & Brother-in-law Dianne (Larry) Dean of Talking Rock, & Maxine Roper of Marble Hill. A host of nieces, nephews, & special cousins also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mr. Findley will be held on Monday, September 29th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Clear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Dotson, Bro. Caden Farist, Rev. Scott Watkins, Rev. John Reece, and Rev. Paul Richards officiating. Vocals will be provided by the Clear Creek Baptist Church Choir and special singers. The Blaine Masonic Lodge #534 will render final Masonic rites in the church. Graveside Interment will follow in the Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the North Georgia Honor Guard presenting the flag. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Eli James Woody, Wesley Wyman, Dale Storey, Russell William III, Jamie Elliott, Larry Mulkey, Waldo Pierce, Jason Findley, and Matthew Keener. The following gentlemen will be honorary pallbearers: Lawler Findley, Koda Wyman, Jerry Farist, Mike Williams, Sammy Dover, Jesse Dale, and Lamar Fendley. A meal will be provided after in the church fellowship hall.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 28th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Food and flowers will be accepted in memory of Mr. Jim Findley.

Bernhardt Funeral Home of Ellijay is entrusted with these arrangements for Mr. Findley.
