Jim Forster

James "Jim" Neal Forster, 62, of Cody, Wyoming, passed away on June 16, 2025, at the Billings Cancer Center, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous five-year battle with cancer.
Born on July 29, 1962, in Casper, Wyoming, Jim was the beloved son of Neal and Gerradean Forster. He built a devoted career in the oil and gas industry, where he found both purpose and pride. Among his many professional accomplishments, Jim was especially proud of his time with the Summit ESP family. He took great care in mentoring and supporting those he worked with-always referring to them as "his guys."
Jim had a big heart and a strong sense of community. As a proud member of the Cody Elks Lodge, he could often be found volunteering, telling stories, enjoying a cold Budweiser, and building lifelong friendships. The Elks Lodge wasn't just a place he served-it was a family he deeply cherished.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 42 and a half years, Beanie Forster; his children, Jennifer Cureton (Billy), Tyler Forster (Laura), and Ryan Forster (Taylor); and his adored grandchildren: Hayden, Areceli, Conrad, Watson, Lucy, and Nolan. He also leaves behind countless friends, colleagues, and extended family who will miss his generous spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. in the Elks Lodge Room in Cody, followed by a celebration of life. All who knew and loved Jim are welcome to attend and share memories of a man who gave so much to others.
