He co-owned Cambridge Pharmacy with his father-in-law and later worked at Eckerds Drug Store, finishing his career at Piggly Wiggly Pharmacy in Coronaca. Following his retirement, he kept busy working at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory, which he lovingly referred to as his favorite job.Jim loved to travel, enjoyed NASCAR, and shared his passion by working with the Richard Petty Driving School. He was a devoted member of The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, where he found great joy in his faith and friendships.

He is survived by his wife of the home; his daughters, Lynn Gobble Fralick (Lawrence) of Irmo and Lisa Gobble Bissonnette (Ken) of Greenville; his four grandchildren, Elliott Fralick (Mary Alice), Tanner Fralick, Jack Bissonnette and Charlie Bissonnette; a great grandson, Rhett Fralick; and his aunt and uncle, Bob and Laura Gobble of Greensboro, NC.
