Jim A. Herbst

Jim A. Herbst age 46, of Portland, TN Formerly of Wapak died Sunday, March 31 at his residence. He was born Feb. 23 1967 in Lima Ohio Jimmy and Joan Wilson Herbst. Joan and Jim Maitlen survive in Ohio and Jimmy and Nancy Herbst survive in TN. Jim had been a factory worker and was known as 'Wolf' in his motorcycle extended family. Survivors also include 4 children: Savannah (Matt) Nichols, Tabitha Herbst, Zachary Herbst and David (Amanda) McGinnis all of Ohio, step brothers: Jack (Yvonne) Johnson, David (April) Maitlen and Dan (Prima) Maitlen all of Ohio, a step sister: Deanna (Don) Collins of Ohio 2 granddaughters, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Duke. He was preceded in death by a stepsister Cheri Johnson. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Martindell officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Auglaize County Humane Society.
