Jim Edward “Jimbo” Moody, Jr. of Springdale, formerly of Thornton died Monday September 29, 2025 at his home.
Jim was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. His love for sports—whether it was basketball, football, or anything that brought people together—was matched only by his love for family and friends. He had a gift for making others smile, and his laughter and kindness touched countless hearts. He will be remembered as a devoted son, a cherished brother, and a loyal friend to all. His presence brought warmth and joy, and his spirit will continue to live on in the memories we hold close. Though he is gone too soon, the love he gave and the joy he shared will remain with us always.
Jim is preceded in death by his father, Jim Moody Sr.; grandmother, Marcella Moody; grandfather, Jerry Moody, and grandmother Barbara Whitley.
Jim is survived by his loving mother, Joy Moody; his sister Krystle Moody; his grandfather, Paul Whitley and many relatives and friends who will forever miss him.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Thornton Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net.
