James Evon Moody, Jr., 72, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2024, in San Angelo.
Military Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Military Honors will be afforded by the Goodfellow Air Force Base Honor Guard.
Mr. Moody was born July 25, 1951 in Gainesville. James was a 1970 graduate of the Monahans High School. After graduation he began working at the Pepsi Bottling Plant if Odessa. James enlisted into the US Air Force in 1971 and he served his 4 years in Sunnyvale, California. James has been a resident of San Angelo since 1978. He worked for the Concho Valley Transit. James enjoyed flying kites, and playing Atari games.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Carol Phillips of Ecuador, and Denise Roach of San Angelo; and his friend Jim Untermeyer of Christoval. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patsy Goodwin.
