Jim Spann, 91, of Nashville, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Affectionately known as Grandaddy, he will be remembered for his selflessness, constant love, and endless knowledge on just about anything. An avid basketball lover, Alabama Crimson Tide fan, golfer, fisherman, and master handyman, Grandaddy loved nothing more than sharing his passions with others and surrounding himself with family. He was a faithful member at Stephens Valley Church serving as a ruling elder in addition to serving on numerous committees. His love for the family of Christ will be treasured and forever remembered.
Jim is survived by his wife of 70 years, Janet, two children, Stacy and Darren, two grandchildren, Loukas and Jake along with two great-grandchildren, Emma and Diego.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday August 10, 2025, at 2:30PM at Stephens Valley Church located at 6000 Pasquo Road, Nashville, TN 37221.
At the request of the family, donations can be made in Jim’s honor to Stephens Valley Church, 6000 Pasquo Road, Nashville, TN 37221.
