Jim H. Timmerman, age 78, of St. Anthony died on Friday, January 16, 2026 at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima. He was born on September 28, 1947 in Celina. On September 5, 1970 he married Janie (Post) Timmerman and she survives in St. Anthony.
Jim is also survived by his children, Connie & Mark Holdheide of Ft. Loramie, Doug & Jill Timmerman, Jeff & Caryn Timmerman, Karen Ashbuagh, Kathy & Kevin Koch all of Coldwater, Krista & John Evans of St. Anthony and Adam & Lauryn Timmerman of Coldwater, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way, and siblings and in-laws, Marilyn Post, Pat Post, Marty & Gary Knapke, Barb Philipot, Tom & Jeanette Timmerman, Joe & Deb Timmerman, Steve & Sandy Timmerman, Karen Timmerman, Paul & Patty Timmerman, Mike & Ann Timmerman, Pat & Diane Timmerman, Norb Timmerman, Maurice Timmerman and Theresa Timmerman.
He was preceded in death by son-in-law Todd Ashbaugh, in-laws Norbert & Leona Post, Tom & Maryann Post, Marita Post, John Post, Leo Timmerman, Ray Timmerman, Harry Philipot and Marcia Timmerman.
Jim was a veteran of the US Army in the Vietnam era and was honored in 2025 to be on the Dayton Honor Flight. He was a member of St. Anthony Church, the men’s sodality of the church, Coldwater knights of Columbus, Ft. Recovery V.F.W., and American Legion, and the Coldwater Eagles. Jim served on the St. Anthony Dinner Theatre board for 25 years, he enjoyed spending time with his family attending their events, playing pinocle and doing woodworking.
Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 PM to 7 PM on Monday and from 9 AM to 9:45 AM on Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com
