Jim Wrenn went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with a private burial at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Born and raised in Charleston, MS, Jim served one year and ten months in the Mississippi Air National Guard and the United States Marine Corps for nine years receiving the rank
of Staff Sergeant E-6. During his service with the Marine Corps, he received the Good Conduct Medal with two stars, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary
Medal and Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal. He also earned the Sharpshooter's Badge for the Pistol and Rifle. He was selected to serve with the Honor Guard Marine Corps in Washington, D.C. out of boot camp. He later served with the FMFPAC Headquarters, Camp Smith, Hawaii with the Engineer Battalion in support of the troops in Vietnam.
After his military service, he immediately started a career in the Financial Industry where he remained for 45 years. During those 45 years he worked with, Mortgage America Corporation, Houston, Texas, Barclays American Corporation an affiliate of the Barclays Bank in England, Trustmark Bank Jackson, MS, Merchants and Farmers Bank, Kosciusko, MS along with other major financial institutions. He later went into business for himself opening Central Mississippi Financial Services, Inc., Cleanrite Janitorial and Maid Service, Inc., and Pearl Discount Jewelry and Electronics, Inc., Pearl, MS.
He is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Wrenn in 2020 of Pearl, MS. He is survived by his son James Christopher Wrenn of New York, NY; two bonus girls, Sheri D. Gilbert of Pearl, MS and Sonia M. Ellis of Pearl, MS.
Jim loved the Lord and adored his family.
