Jimel Dwayne Pimpton was born July 6,1981 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Howard and Bernice Pimpton. He was the youngest of five siblings - four brothers and one sister. He attended North Central High School. Most recently, he was working in the construction industry and enjoyed his job very much. Jimel fell asleep in death December 1, 2022.
Jimel was well known and loved for his charismatic and charming personality. He always had something clever and witty to say to make people smile and bring joy to their hearts. As a teenager, Jimel began to showcase extraordinary talent as an artist and would constantly draw comic strips with so much detail he could rival a DC or Marvel graphic artist!
Jimel’s close family and friends always enjoyed his famous "good evening" greeting which he used at all times of the day. As he grew older, his creative spirit inspired him to start writing fiction, which absolutely seemed in line for a person who had a flair for words and an engaging vocabulary. He was working ambitiously to get his fiction published with hopes of inspiring others with his stories.
While Jimel never married or had any biological children, through a beautiful relationship he received a daughter that he loved with all his heart. Jimel loved his family and friends with a fierce loyalty that is rarely seen today. He will always be remembered for his wit and charm and his huge capacity to love.
Jimel is preceded in death by his father, Howard Pimpton. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother. Bernice Pimpton; four siblings, McCarles Pimpton, LaCarla Walker, Timmy Pimpton, Howard T. Pimpton (Shelley); Partner, LaKisha Cushingberry; daughter, NaLani Cushingberry; nieces and nephews, David, Candice, Ivory, Kayla, Nathan (aka Neiko); best friends, Kenya Johnson and Cierra Bronson, and a host of family and friends.
