Jimmie Beltran Sr.

Jimmie Blanco Beltran Sr., age 80, of Karnes City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. He was born on December 11, 1944 to Jose and Tomaso Beltran in Karnes City. Throughout his life he was a loving husband and father. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, and barbequing for his friends and family. Jimmie was a lifelong member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church. He retired from the Texas Highway Department after many years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret Beltran; and siblings, Alvino Beltran, Jose Casanova, Lucio Casanova, Pablo Casanova, Juana Ybarbo, Felipa Pena, Blanche Casanova, and Maggie Rodriguez. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Beltran Jr.; daughter, Sandra Beltran; and god-daughter, Marisa (Jude) DeLeon Beaver. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12th at Rhodes Funeral Home in Karnes City. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on August 13th at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City. Burial will follow at the Karnes City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Juan Bryan, Austin Bryan, Kristopher Bryan, Cipriano Garcia, Randy Tejada, and Jude Beaver.
