Jim Blythe, age 78, passed peacefully at home on August 15, 2021. The Illinois native was born November 25, 1942, to the late Evelyn and Shirley Blythe.
Jim was a serviceman for Pitney Bowes, Inc. for 25 years, owner of Quality Mailing Systems, and co-owner of Blythe Auto Sales.
Mr. Blythe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda; two children, Valerie Haley (Rick) and Alan Blythe (Ann-Marie); five grandsons: Matthew Haley, Austin, Connor, Dalton, and Evan Blythe. He is also survived by one brother, Bill Blythe (Pat) of Edwardsville, IL, along with several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen with a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Cone Funeral Home. There will be a visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service at 3:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Miller Cemetery – Richard Knight, 2796 Blackford Rd, E, Mt. Vernon, IN 47620.
