Robert Lee Reece, affectionately known as Bobby, passed away on September 25, 2025, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Born on April 7, 1948, in Franklin, Kentucky, Bobby lived a life filled with cherished memories, friendships, and contributions to his community.
Bobby had a commendable career with Bellsouth, where he dedicated many years of service. His commitment and work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.
A proud veteran, Bobby served as a Sergeant in the United States Army, showcasing his dedication to his country. His military service was a source of pride, reflecting the values of honor and commitment that shaped his life.
In his leisure time, Bobby found joy in various hobbies that enriched his life. He had a passion for playing guitar, often strumming melodies that brought smiles to those around him. He shared many moments of happiness with his beloved dog, Bullwinkle, and enjoyed playing cards, a pastime that connected him with family and friends.
Bobby's family was his greatest treasure. He is survived by his loving spouse, Patti Reece; his sons, Cliff Reece and Christopher Reece; and his grandson, Joshua Reece. The bonds he formed with them were profound, and his love will continue to resonate through their lives.
He is predeceased by his parents, Oscar Lee Reece and Margaret Perry Reece, who instilled in him the values that defined his character.
A visitation will be held on September 29, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home, located at 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42104. A second visitation will occur on September 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Bobby will be laid to rest in Bowling Green Gardens on the same day.
Bobby's legacy will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His genuine spirit, kindness, and passion for life will remain in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donation's can be made to American Legion Post 23 in Bowling Green, KY.
