Jimmie Keithley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Meadors Funeral Home - Republic Chapel on Dec. 31, 2025.
Jimmie Dale Keithley, born April 2, 1947, to Reverend Theodore and Maxine Keithley in Clever, Missouri, passed away on November 23, 2025. Jimmie proudly served his country in the United States Army, spending two years in service during the Vietnam War. A farmer his entire life, he was no stranger to hard work and took great pride in tending the land. He also worked for several years at Springfield Underground, where he gained many lasting friendships. A man of simple joys and steady passions, Jimmie enjoyed fishing, had a special love for his Thunderbird cars, and rarely missed a St. Louis Cardinals game. He was also an avid baseball card collector, cherishing the memories and history each card represented. Above all, Jimmie will be remembered for his generous spirit. He consistently put others before himself and lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and quiet strength. Jimmie is survived by his children Scott (Tracy) Keithley, Stephanie Tillman, and Matthew (Tara) Keithley, grandchildren Miranda Keithley, Ryan Keithley, Ashley Tillman, Joseph Tillman, Oren Keithley and Nolan Keithley, great-grandchildren Renley and Revan Staley, Olivia and Oliver Keithley, Mylo and Mila Mendez, Ellie and Bronx Keithley and Stevie James, and his siblings Bill (Linda) Keithley, Joann Wilson, Danny (Joyce) Keithley, and Kathy (Vince) Jennings. Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Larry "Pug" Keithley, Charles Keithley and sister Linda Medlin.
