The loving father and grandfather is survived by 3 children: Tricia Poe of Granite City, Illinois, Ashley (Thomas) Thompson of Prairieville, Louisiana, and Jimmie Poe, Jr of Granite City, Illinois. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Jimmie is preceded in death by a daughter, Pennie Hernandez-Poe; a son, Jimmie Dale Poe; a sister, Tyonia Kamadulski, and a brother, Danny Poe.
