Mark Elliott, 38, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

He was born in Granite City on May 20, 1987, the son of Ron and Patty Elliott. Mark grew up in the community he loved, attending local schools where he played baseball with the Warriors, forming lasting friendships and ties that carried through his life.

Mark's passion for food and hospitality led him to a career as a skilled chef. He worked in several respected restaurants in the area, including 1880 Chophouse and Porter's Steakhouse, where his talent and dedication earned the admiration of colleagues and patrons alike.

On July 20, 2010, Mark married Brittany (Altmeyer) Elliott, who survives him. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising two beloved sons, Landen and Myles.

In addition to his wife and children, Mark is survived by his parents, Ron and Patty Elliott, and his siblings: Myke (Dawn) Elliott of Vale, AZ; Mason Elliott of Granite City; Melissa (Joe) Peters of Waterloo; Jennifer (Robert) Tucker; Ralph Cooley of Granite City; and Justin (Heather) Cooley of Granite City. He is also remembered with love by Kenny Woolverton and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends, all of whom will miss his warmth, humor, and generous and kind spirit.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Church, 2827 Mockingbird Lane, Granite City, Illinois.

Mark will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
