Betty Earlene (Law) Elliott, age 95, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Vintage Park of Ottawa in Ottawa, Kansas, on Grandparent’s Day.
Funeral services will be held 10am, Friday, September 12, 2025at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends following the funeral services.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Mound Cemetery northwest of Ottawa.
Betty was born on Wednesday, March 26, 1930 in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Earl L. and Gladys M. (Tedrow) Law.
She was a lifelong resident of Ottawa and Pomona.
Betty graduated from Ottawa High School.
She attended the Assembly of God. She played the piano at church and also played the accordion and organ.
On Friday, December 15, 1950, Betty was united in marriage with Cecil D. Elliott at Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Gladys Law; sisters, Bonnie Jean Law, Judith Elaine Law, Margo Fern Law; and Dorothy McMannes.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Earlene Elliott of Pomona, Kansas, Connie Wesch and her husband, Jim of Tuscola, Illinois and Rita Demeter and her husband, Guyla “Joe” of Pomona, Kansas; son, Stephen Elliott of Bush City, Kansas; sister, Teresa Hollon of Ottawa, Kansas; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Betty was a homemaker and over the years also worked for the Gas Service Company, Paxton’s Grocery and Drakes Bakery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Hope House or Pomona Food Bank c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
