Robert William “Bill” Hartpence, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on March 6, 1964, he was the cherished son of Bob and Jan Hartpence.
Bill lived his life with a deep passion for cars. He built a career restoring old cars, bringing history and beauty back to life through his work. Beyond his restoration work, he loved the thrill of racing — from dirt tracks to drag strips — where his skill, competitive spirit, and love for speed shined. His dedication, craftsmanship, and enthusiasm for engines and speed left a lasting mark on everyone who shared those passions with him.
Above all else, Bill was devoted to his family. He is survived by his sons Rocky (spouse Stephanie) and Robby (spouse Nikki) Hartpence, and his daughters Taylor (spouse Randy) Ferguson and Sabrina Hartpence. He was a proud grandfather to Melanie, Tommy, Evelyn, Isabelle, Wyatt and Sierra who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his brother, Rick (spouse Monica) Hartpence.
Those who knew Bill will remember his hard work, his love for family, and his infectious enthusiasm for life’s adventures. He will be deeply missed but forever carried in the hearts of those who loved him.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared with family and friends.
Bill’s legacy lives on in every car he restored and every life he touched.
