Jimmie Price Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Royal Funeral Home, Inc. - Jesup on Jan. 16, 2026.
Jimmie L. Price, 62, a native of Orlando, Fl. who later in life relocated to Folkston, Ga., passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2026 at UF Health in Jacksonville, Fl. He was born on March 18, 1963 to Barbara Billingsley-Stanford in Orlando, Fl.

Jimmie was a man of strength, resilience, and unmistakable style. A proud Dallas Cowboys fan and passionate DJ, he loved music, travel, and living life on his own terms. At first glance, Jimmie often looked serious-maybe even mad-but those who truly knew him discovered a sneaky, sharp sense of humor that caught you off guard and left you laughing when you least expected it.

A hard worker with a cool, confident presence-often rocking his sunglasses like a true "Cool Mo Dee"-Jimmie carried himself with quiet determination. When he lost his leg, he didn't pause or look back; he rebounded without hesitation, ready to conquer his next step and whatever life placed before him.

Jimmie will be remembered for his grit, his grind, his humor, and the unforgettable way he walked through life-strong, stylish, and unapologetically himself. For several years he worked at Manheim Car Auctions as s shuttle driver. Even when his health began to fail, Jimmie worked until his health would no longer allow him to.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Diane Smiley-Price, Folkston, Ga.; a son, Jimmie L. Price, Jr., Eustis, Fl.; his bonus children, La'Neisha (James) Henderson, Hampton, Va., Nathaniel Davis III, Nattiel Davis and Na'Vaughn Davis, all of Orlando, Fl.; his loving mother, Barbara Stanford, Orlando, Fl.; four sisters, Jasmine Taylor, Nicole Taylor, Latasha D. Taylor and Lavetta Stanford, all of Orlando, Fl.; three brothers, Kenneth Billingsley, Groveland, Fl., Freeman and Anthony Taylor, both of Orlando, Fl.; an uncle, Willie Billingsley, Orlando, Fl.; his mother and father in-law, Ella Mae and Thomas Smiley, Folkston, Ga.; brothers and sisters in- law; Brenda (Willie) Ortez, Ft. Pierce, Fl., Bridgett (Charlie) Mainor, Thomas ( Lucretia) Smiley, Jr., Anthony Smiley and Darlene Smiley-McIntyre all of Folkston, Ga. and Iris (Keith) Smiley, Hanes City, Fl.; a favorite aunt, Shirley Dasher of Jacksonville, Fl.; (13) grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

There will NOT be a separate viewing held on Friday; however, his remains will lie in state one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 @11:00 AM at Mt. New Home MBC, 416 Dixie Lake Rd., Folkston, Ga. 31537

Services will be followed by a private disposition.
