A Memorial Service for Jimmie R. Sepulvado, 88, will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Officiating will be Pastor Jack Alumbaugh.
Jimmie was born on June 5, 1937 in Ebarb, Louisiana to Henry Sepulvado and Ann Cortinez Sepulvado and passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 in Shreveport.
Jimmie graduated from Ebarb High School in 1957, where he made his mark as an outstanding basketball player. After high school, he moved to Shreveport and built a career as a skilled house painter and wallpaper hanger. Jimmie felt most at home outdoors—whether he was hunting, fishing, or tending to his garden. He had a sharp wit that could fill any room with laughter, and he never missed a chance to bring people together around his grill, where cooking became his true passion.
Jimmie in preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ann Sepulvado; and brothers, Earl, Frank, and Leonard. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Greg Sepulvado, Rodney Sepulvado, Dakota Sepulvado; daughter, Vicki Roy; and sister, Peggy Hawkins.
Jimmie will be terribly missed, but we will always love him and cherish his memory.
