Newcomer Funeral Home - Green BayJimmie Lee Smith, 64, of Green Bay, passed away suddenly on February 17, 2026. He was born on April 14, 1961 to James and Rosie (Roger) Smith in Drew, Mississippi.
Jimmie owned and operated A-1 Used Tires for over 28 years. He was proud to work next to his son, Jimmie II, and taught him everything he knew. Jimmie was known for his over-the-top, comedic personality. He could always make you laugh. He was a "tough love or no love" kind of person.
Jimmie and Carol started their journey together on August 28, 1987. On April 13, 1996, they were united in marriage. Jimmie was always Carol's grizzly bear, her guardian angel, and soulmate. Together they raised their beautiful children: Corey, Jennifer, Resa, Stephanie, Tuashah, Brittniey, Jimmie II, and Thomas.
Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Smith; his children: Corey Moore, Jennifer Lowery, Resa Willis, Stephanie (Charles) Harris, Tuashah (Orean Hinds) Smith, Brittniey Smith, Jimmie (Marielys) Smith II, and Thomas Smith; his grandbabies: Taza, Brayden, Janiya, Coreyana, Taveaha, Elijah, Corey Jr., Learyraih (Rabbit), Dale, Elygeh, Charm, Isaiah, Zyren (Ziggy), Hope (Hopey Dopey), GeCorra, Geron, Nariah (Nana), Charles II, Aaliyah, Jayvani (Bubba), Damarreen, Chance (Chancey), and Angel; his siblings: Donnell (Tammy) Smith and Willie Earl; and his in-laws: Thomas Kirkley, Wanda (James) Scholl, Richard (Lisa) Kirkley, Sandra Kirkley, and Roberta (Joe) Nault. Jimmie is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings: Virgin Mae, Jessie, Betty-Jean, Ernestine, James Sr., and Velma, and his mother in-law, Bernadine Kirkley.
Family and friends will have the opportunity to gather for visitation on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S.
