Jimmie A. Waller, age 65, of Louisville, Illinois passed away peacefully at his home in Louisville on Friday, July 4, 2025.

Jimmie was born in Mattoon, Illinois, on February 24, 1960, the son of Vern Lee and Judith Ann (Boyd) Waller.

For the majority of his career, Jimmie worked as a truck driver for Mid Illinois Concrete. His profession not only provided for his family but also allowed him the opportunity to indulge in one of his greatest passions: driving. He found immense joy in the freedom of the open road and the many places it took him. A beloved figure among his colleagues, Jimmie's warm personality and willingness to lend a hand made a lasting impression on those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In addition to his professional contributions, Jimmie nurtured a love for travel, particularly cherishing his time spent in Florida. The sunshine and warmth of the state provided him with cherished memories and moments of relaxation that he sought out whenever he could.

Jimmie was known more than anything as a family man, devoted wholeheartedly to his children and grandchildren. His love for them was evident in all aspects of his life, and he took great pride in being a guiding presence in their lives. Jimmie's innate kindness and ability to connect with others made him not just a father and grandfather, but a true friend and mentor to many.

Jimmie is survived by his children: Heather Morton of Marion, Illinois, Allen Waller of Santa Marie, California, Jamie (Brandon) Hoyt of Bible Grove; 9 grandchildren: Trey Morton, Jackson Morton, Elizabeth Waller, Josh Waller, Noah Waller, Carson Baber, Tucker Hoyt, Bradon Allison, Ripp Hoyt; his father: Vern Waller of Casey, Illinois; sister: Lori Cown, of Casey, Illinois; brother: Richard Waller of Casey, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his mother: Judith Waller; grandson: Dawson Morton; stepmother: Irene Waller; a sister: Verna Reynolds.

Memorial services to celebrate Jimmie's life will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, July 11, 2025, at the McGriff Funeral Home in Louisville with Brent Bailey officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jimmie's memory to the Ronald McDonald House.
