Ritchey Wayne Griffith, age 59, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville, Kentucky.
Ritchey was born on April 8, 1966, in Flora, Illinois, the son of Forrest and Lillian (Atteberry) Griffith.
Ritchey worked at Wal-Mart in Flora for several years and prior to that he worked at Quad Graphics in Effingham as a head pressman. Ritchey had a true passion for coon hunting, fishing on the river, and gold prospecting. He loved to be around his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love to help others and always trying to make those around him smile and laugh.
Ritchey is survived by his children: Telysa (Shawn) Dulaney of Flora, Krystal Griffith (Nathan Blakenship) of Keyesport, Illinois, Kortni Griffith of Hunt City, Illinois, Lindsay Griffith of Beckemeyer, Illinois, Joshua Griffith of Florence, Alabama; 9 grandchildren: Loralei, Kyelee, Kinley, Alexia, Chace, Bradlee, Dredan, Zadalynn, and Laithe; siblings: Janet (Darrell) Allen of Xenia, Tammy Griffith of Flora, Danny Griffith (Suzzanne Pope) of Athens, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Ritchey was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Paul Griffith; granddaughter: Aurora Walls; nephew: DeWayne Allen.
Memorial services to celebrate Ritchey’s life will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the McGriff Funeral Home in Louisville with Gene Birch officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday afternoon at the funeral home from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Love Fund for the Family.
