Jimmy "Puddin" Dean Adams, age 68, of Jackson, passed away on July 11, 2025.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis G. and Stella Mae Spradlin Adams of Jackson; brothers, Carl Adams of Jackson and Charles Adams of Leslie; nephew, Charles Adams Jr. of Jackson; and his beloved companion, Mighty Dog.

He is survived by his sister, Eileen (Van) Bratton of Texas; nephews, Taylor Bratton of Arkansas, and Jeff and Kyle Adams, both of Jackson; niece, Kristy Adams of South Dakota; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Adams of Jackson and Lynne Adams of Leslie; along with many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Jimmy spent his early years raised on his family's farm, helping run their farm stand. He had a deep love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Jimmy had an extensive talent with cars, he was a master mechanic who didn't just fix cars, but transformed them. From racing his checkered cab painted '63 Dodge, to restoring and painting custom vehicles, his skill and imagination knew no limits.

Jimmy was as generous as he was unforgettable. He never met a stranger, Jimmy was a gifted storyteller who kept a room entertained for hours with what he called "the gift of baloney." A talent inherited from his father. Jimmy was also a true hero, he is a recipient of the Citizen's Award for risking his own safety during a snowstorm to help a man who had been injured during a drive by, staying with him until emergency help arrived. His courage, compassion, and selflessness were just a few of the many qualities that left a lasting mark on all who knew him.

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Jimmy will be buried at Harrington cemetery in Jackson, Michigan.
