On June 29, 2025, in
Oklahoma City, OK, after an 8-year battle with thyroid cancer, Jim Anderson, age 83, with his wife at his side passed from this earth to his eternal home, believing the promise in John 3:16 that "whosoever believes in [Jesus Christ] should not perish but have eternal life." He and Mary Ann sent their three children to Christian Heritage Academy where she taught and he was a volunteer assistant football coach. Jim enjoyed hunting with bird dogs in his youth and fishing throughout his entire life. He and Mary Ann had a place at Lake Eufaula and were active in the Duchess Creek Estates Neighborhood Association and enjoyed fellowship at the Friendship Chapel Baptist Church. They have been active members of Southwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City for almost 30 years.
