Jimmy Beane Obituary
He was born on May 2, 1947, in Clarks, Louisiana to Leroy Vernon and Yvonne (Sellars) Beane and has lived in Alexandria for the past 65 years. He attended Alexandria schools. Vernon was a skilled painter and worked with Mike Carmichael at C & B Painting for 45 years, retiring in 2021. Vernon was a simple man who enjoyed simple pleasures like watching squirrels play in his yard. He especially loved his little dog. Vernon was a hard-working man who taught his family to be hard workers as well, a trait that is a priceless legacy.

2 Sons- James (Suzanne) Beane and Richard (Gilly) Beane all of Alexandria
3 Daughters-Annette (Ben) Wyatt of Anderson, Kristie (Clay) Gaines and Stacey (Brian) Flook all of Alexandria
20 Grandchildren
31 Great-Grandchildren
Brother-Larry (Diana) Beane of Alexandria
Special Friend-Mike Carmichael of Alexandria
Several nieces and nephews
Vernon was preceded in death by his a parents, a son-Michael Beane, infants-Angelia and Marc, special granddaughter-Crystal Scott, grandson-Aaron Beane, tiny great-granddaughter-Tinsleigh, sister-Marsha Lisby, brother-Mark Majors
Services honoring Vernon's life and legacy will take place at 2 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria with Chaplain Rob Mifflin officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment of his cremains will take place at the convenience of the family. The Beane family will receive friends after 12 Noon on Saturday in the funeral home prior to the service.

Words can't express how much I hurt that your gone, I'm gonna miss you papaw. I was named after you, and that's such an honor, I love you so much and I know your watching over me. I couldn't ask for a better grandpa you loved me like I was the only one. I'm gonna miss you so much.
