Jimmy Wayne Bowen Jr., 55, of Troy, North Carolina passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
Jimmy was born March 12, 1969 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Jimmy Bowen Sr. and the late Dorothy Ann Bowen.
Jimmy graduated high school from Central Cabarrus High in 1985. He had been employed with Piedmont Natural Gas since 2008. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Angie, grandson Samuel, friends, working on projects around his home, riding the boat on the lake, cracking jokes and having a good time.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Angie Bowen; son, Samuel Fowler III (Amanda); grandson, Samuel Fowler IV; sister, Lena (Alvin); many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle, 522 N 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm, officiated by Pastor Brad Kelley.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff of Atrium Health Stanly for their care and compassion during this difficult time. We find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and that we will see him again.
