Jimmy Dean Cooper, born on August 7, 1965, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away on October 19, 2024, in Enoree, South Carolina. He was a steadfast presence in the lives of his family and friends, for his kindness, humor, unwavering support.
In his early years, Jimmy built a life rich with experience and friendships in the Spartanburg community. As a devoted son to his late father, J.Y. Cooper, he carried the values instilled in him, demonstrating strength and resilience throughout his life.
Jimmy is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Diane Pruitt Cooper; his son, David Cooper; and his sisters, Patricia Johnson, Judy Henderson, and Crystal Gagnon. Each of them will remember Jimmy not only for his heartfelt laughter and warmth but also for how he radiated genuine love and compassion towards those around him.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Cherokee Springs Baptist Church, located at 2699 Chesnee Hwy, Spartanburg, SC, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. This will be followed by a memorial service at the same location, commencing at 6:30 PM.
As we gather to celebrate the life of Jimmy Dean Cooper, we reflect on the many ways he touched our lives and the cherished memories he leaves behind. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
