Funeral services for Jimmy Morris Coulter, 66, of Gilmer, Texas, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment to follow at Mattox Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at McWhorter Funeral Home. Jimmy was born on January 13, 1959, to Winford Childress Coulter Sr. and Mary Jo Dixon, in Longview, Texas, and passed from this life on September 24, 2025, surrounded by his family Jimmy married Cathy O'Barr on August 4, 1981, in Mesa, Arizona, at the Mesa Temple. He owned and operated Stop-A-Minit Stores and Presley Oil Co. Jimmy enjoyed his work, but his greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cathy Coulter; children, Miranda Coulter, Jimmy Coulter Jr. (Katherine), Jake Coulter (Gillian), and Ty Coulter (Madi); brother, Winford Coulter Jr (Patsy); sisters, Debra Ellen Coulter, and Cheryl Starks (Jack); sister-in-law, Debbie coulter; special aunt, Eddie Jean Stephenson; grandchildren, Daphne, Maeve, and Imogen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike Coulter. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Coulter Sr., Ty Coulter, Jake Coulter, Mason Bates, Nick Fonseca, Brandon Hodge, William Starks, and Kurt Hill.
