James "Jimmy" Lee Creasman
Jimmy Creasman, 62, of Dayton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born on October 30, 1962, and was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. Jimmy maintained courage and strength in his battle against lung cancer. He always remained positive and hopeful in finding a cure for his illness and faced each treatment with immense courage.
Jimmy is survived by his mother Helen (Fred) Sprouse of Spring City; sisters, Tina, Hansen of Dayton and Margie (Rusty) Clark of Graysville; sons, Jesse and Christopher Creasman; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat Miss Priss.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Clay Creasman, Jr; paternal grandparents, Clay and Louie Creasman; maternal grandparents, Dan and Ruby DeFore; and brother, Pete Creasman.
Jimmy was a simple man and was always honorable, humble and kind to everyone. He was a quiet man with a big heart and was brave beyond words. Hunting, fishing and working on old cars were his favorite pastimes. If he wasn't in the woods hunting, then he was on the lake fishing but his"Big Blue" truck was his pride and joy. He took great pleasure in working to restore it until he became too ill. Jimmy will always be remembered and loved for his kindness and quiet nature.
HE WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED
AND WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS
We would like to extend a special thank you to Tennessee Oncology, on 3rd Street in Chattanooga, for all the kindness and care that Jimmy received over the past two years. They are an amazing group of doctors and nurses.
Our family will have a celebration of life memorial service at a private residence in Spring City on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 2:30 PM. Family and friends are welcome to attend and are encouraged to share fond memories and stories of Jimmy with his family.
