Rev. Jimmy Davis "Rev. JD" Daniel

Rev. Jimmy Davis Daniel was born on October 18, 1945, to William and Otelia Daniel in Williamson, Georgia. With a radiant smile and an infectious personality, Rev. Jimmy Davis Daniel brightened the lives of everyone he met. Rev. JD Daniel as he was affectionately called by his family and everyone around him. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and joined Corinth Baptist Church in Williamson, Georgia.
Rev. JD received his formal education at Pike County Consolidated High School in Concord, Georgia. He held many jobs to name a few, Chrysler Motors, where he was the top salesman, and American Insurance as a Salesman for many years.
Rev. Jimmy Davis Daniel met the love of his life Ms. Lettie Bell Lewis and was united in holy matrimony in Griffin, Georgia. Their union was blessed with 4 children together.
Rev. JD Daniel served as Pastor of Concord Baptist Church for 35 years, 26 years at Springfield Baptist Church, 6 years at Mt. Olive Baptist Church and 2 years at St. Timothy. Rev. JD was known for playing the keyboard, guitar, and singing the old hymns that everyone loved to hear. Rev. JD had a band back in day called, "Heavy and the D Nets". The D Nets were his sisters, singing as background singers. He loved to play and make people happy.
On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, Rev. Jimmy Davis "JD" Daniel passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. His name was called and he answered and set free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lettie Bell Daniel, parents, William Daniel, and Otelia Daniel, and his son, Jimmy Antwan Daniel.
Rev. Jimmy Davis "JD" Daniel leaves a legacy of loving memories in the hearts of his children, Dale Daniel, David Daniel, Virgus Daniel, Kesia Brown, Karen Brown, Carlena Jackson, Sonya Jackson, and James Holland, Rev. Daniel leaves a host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will cherish his memories forever.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. Service honoring Rev. Daniel wil be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Robert Gabriel is the Eulogist.
