Mr. Terry Williams

Mr. Terry Williams was born on April 8, 1954, to the late Mr. Norman Williams, Sr., and Mrs. Louise Starr Williams in Griffin, Georgia. He graduated from Griffin High School in Griffin, Georgia, and Griffin Technical College in Griffin, Georgia. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged.

Terry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, and joined Eighth Street Baptist Church, where he remained a member until his untimely death.

Mr. Terry Williams met the love of his life Ms. Mae Catherine Gardner and was united in holy matrimony on August 27, 1976, in Griffin, Georgia. Their union was blessed with three children.

Terry became self-employed as Brick Mason, where worked tireless until his health declined. In his leisure time he enjoyed going to church and spending time with family and friends.

On Monday, February 9, 2026, Mr. Terry Williams' name was called, and he answered and was free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Williams, Sr., and Louise Starr Williams, his son, Letorruse Williams; six brothers, Clayton Williams, Theodore Williams, Randall Williams, Walter James Williams, Oliver Williams, and Charlie Fonfield; seven sisters, Gloria Ann Williams, Oneida Williams-Patrick, Sherri L. Williams, Tracy Wilder, Debora Fonfield, and Miranda Fonfield.

Mr. Terry Williams leaves a legacy of memory cherished in the heart of his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Mae Catherine Williams, children, Ronarico (Jaqui Wilson) Williams, and Litasha Williams, brothers, Norman (Mildred) Williams, Jr., and Richard Lee Williams, his grandchildren, Donterico Williams, Sharico Williams, Jameyiah Neal Mich Williams, and Keneesha Williams, a great granddaughter, Taylor Bowman; in-laws, Gwendolyn Gardner (Jeffery) Williams, Bobby Lee (Priscilla) Gardner, Sheila Gardner, Opal Williams, and Deborah Johnson. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, close relative and beloved friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Eighth Street Baptist Church located at 408 Palace Street. The body will lie in state at the Church one hour prior to the service hour. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pastor Antoine C. Lucas, Sr., is the Pastor and Eulogist.
