Jimmy Lynn Davis, 78, of Leesburg, GA., died Thursday, July 31, 2025 at his residence. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 4, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. A.J. Hall will officiate.
Jimmy was born in Tifton, GA., to the late Ollie and Gladys Velma Davis. He served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Jimmy was a construction supervisor for T.D. Farrell construction. He loved farming and bred and raised Texas longhorn cattle. Jimmy also loved getting the family together and having cookouts.
In addition to his parents his is preceded in death by his siblings, Wayne Davis, Velma Fletcher and Juanita Sigman.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Earline Smith Davis, his daughter, Amanda Kay Davis, his son Troy Glen Davis (Ouida), six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the service.
